What are the POP Server Settings for Yahoo Mail?
As far as you know, POP stands for Post Office Protocol and is used to download emails to devices like computers, mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. The purpose of the POP server is to allow one-way delivery of email to both the mobile phone and the computer.
Follow the instructions for the email client you want to set up Yahoo Mail on. When you get to the screen that asks for POP setup, type:
- POP server address: pop.mail.yahoo.com
- POP Username: Your Yahoo Mail username (for ex- if your email address is example@yahoo.com, "example" is the username)
- POP Password: Your Yahoo Mail password
- POP Port: 995
- POP TLS/SSL required: yes
Note – Some email clients require complete email address for your username.
Important Note - In addition to the POP settings required to receive email, you need the Yahoo Mail SMTP server settings for the email program to send email from your account.
